Who we are

Our design team is passionate about creating tailored design solutions reflective of our clients’ unique identities. We believe Interior Design is more than matching materials and finishes, but rather the process of creating spaces that respond to the specific needs of the occupants – in a thoughtful and meaningful way. Since 2009, WLID Inc. has been striving to improve the function and beauty of every interior we touch and we are pleased to have been featured in Homes and Living Magazine (Calgary Edition) and several of our designs have been honored by the Calgary Home Builder’s Association (CHBA) SAM awards.

What we do

We transform our client’s passions into the built environment. Every space should tell a story. Whether you own a home or a business, your space should express where you’ve been, who you are, and support you as you move into your own new chapter. Our designs consider so much more than aesthetics. We examine functional, psychological, performance and life safety implications to ensure your space offers a sustainable foundation on which to grow. We offer a variety of services adapted to our clients’ project and budget needs, including consultations, basic design service packages as well as comprehensive full scope design and project management.

How we do it

Unlike design firms who concentrate predominantly on décor and charge you by the hour, we offer a methodical design process, tailored to your needs, with clearly defined deliverables and a fixed contract price. We identify priorities, expectations and milestones at the project outset in order to move ahead effectively and efficiently, with all project team members on the same page. Lindsay Zelensky

Partner, Interior Design & Business Development

Lindsay is in charge of Design and Business Development for the Within Design team. She is a consistent voice for excellence in design and believes that a personable, professional approach is key. After earning a Bachelor of Applied Interior Design Degree from Mount Royal University nearly a decade ago, she went on to complete a multitude of mid to high-end residential, corporate office and commercial projects. Recent commercial work has taken her into the retail and clinical healthcare sectors with projects in major retail centres and strip malls. Professionalism, passion and dedication are paramount to ensuring the smooth progression of any client’s renovation, large or small.

Rather than approaching projects with one signature style, Lindsay’s looks at each project as a unique opportunity to express her client’s identity and vision. She is also an advocate for sustainable design and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Outside the office you might find Lindsay practicing yoga, hitting the slopes, checking out Calgary’s amazing restaurant scene or scoping out the latest shoe trends. She, her husband and daughters enjoy spending time with friends and family and their two lively Boston Terriers, Sherman and Panzer.

Coreen Riley

Partner, Interior Design & Business Operations

Cory is a licensed interior designer and heads Strategy and Business Operations for the firm. Educated at the University of Manitoba, she is actively involved in our provincial design association and is an advocate for professional development and continuing education. With nearly 20 years in the design community Cory has amassed a broad portfolio of work including corporate office, residential, institutional and industrial design. Her strong business and marketing sense compliments her work in interior design, providing an understanding of why great design is an integral ingredient to creating successful interiors.

Cory’s passion is for professionalism, process and customer service, ensuring projects run smoothly with as little interruptions to her client’s lives and workplaces as possible with a major renovation.
